Joanne Ambras has a fascination with all things paper.

As a little girl, she thought the best part of going back to school was shopping for school supplies. She always looked forward to getting her hands on fresh new notebooks, Pee Chee folders and to creating new dust covers for her text books.

Joanne grew up and this fascination turned into passion. She found herself collecting enough decorative and handmade papers to fill a room. Drawers overflowed with stationery, and bookshelves were filled with handmade books. Friends would travel the world and bring back exotic and unusual papers to add to her collection.

She now uses her extensive paper collection to create elegant, handcrafted stationery. Her fabulous journals are handstitched using a variety of binding styles. Each piece celebrates the rich variety of colors, patterns, textures, and above all, her complete love of paper.

Joanne's artistic talents have been burnished by accomplished artists in a variety of media, each of whom has enhanced her innate sense of design, color and style. Joanne is continually expanding her horizons and future collections will include a broader line of stationery, altered and artist books, as well as her own paper designs.
